Our singing teachers have worked so hard giving online vocal lessons during the lockdown. One of our ‘My Singing Lessons‘ tutors has received some exceptional praise from her tutor. Vocal and singing coach  Rosel Labone tells us about her student and shows us what she has been given by her student. ‘Ellie works extremely hard and responds to high expectations. She came to me with some choral experience and really wanted to upskill her vocal strength in her middle and lower registers. We have been taking a holistic approach to her training involving a lot of movement-based work with a traditional methodology called Feldenkrais in conjunction with Bel Canto (traditional Italian) training. It’s a rather unique approach applied in my studio to all my students which aims to take them out of their psychological inhibitions and get their voice fully integrated into their bodies. I also get my students to do boxing and barre movement on their vocal warm ups. It’s extremely engaging and seems to be working a charm with all my charges from ages 9 up.’
