Jesus Christ Superstar Auditions
Following the great success of Oliver!, Les Miserables, Miss Saigon and Cats, Wakefield Youth Music Theatre will stage Jesus Christ Superstar at Theatre Royal Wakefield this August and September. Jesus Christ Superstar is a timeless piece of theatre which takes place during the final weeks of Jesus’ life, and follows the events which led to his betrayal by Judas Iscariot and, ultimately, his crucifixion, all told through the musical score of Andrew Lloyd Webber.
We held an initial audition in March, however were unable to cast the following parts:
Jesus
Judas
Caiaphas
Annas
4 disciples
Because of this, we will be holding another audition on the 22nd of April, 5-8pm at the Waterton Building in Wakefield. The rehearsals will run from the 15th-30th of August, with performances starting on the 31st of August and ending on the 10th of September.
This is a really great opportunity for people aged 11-21 to gain experience working with a professional creative team, as well as a chance to showcase your talent!
