Young Fathers Win Mercury Music Award

Edinburgh Scottish hip-hop band, Young Fathers, where victorious at last weeks Mercury Music Prize ceremony. The trio’s album Dead saw off completion from eleven other artists, including the likes of Damon Albarn, Anna Calvi, Bombay Bicycle Club and bookies’ favourite, FKA Twigs.
“We’ll take it in our stride,” commented band member Graham ‘G’ Hastings. “We always wanted to make something bigger than the city we were living in.”
The group also said that they will be putting the £20,000 prize money towards the making of their next album.
