New Laws For Singing On Ships.

My Singing Lessons has been made aware that any singers or vocalists engaged on cruise ships or by owners of luxury yachts are now subject to the requirements and minimum conditions set out in a new ‘seafarers agreement’. This is a requirement which means that singers are, for the duration of the engagement or contract on board, classed as ‘Seafarers’. The agreement has been implemented by the seafaring union – Nautilus.
The Musicians Union is talking to Nautilus about the agreement and looking at developing the relationship between the two Unions so we will keep you updated here on any progress made.
