Well being a singing lessons page we could not ignore the fact that the Shure SM58 is now on its 50th year and a majority of singers know all too well that this microphone is the reliable friend that can withstand all kinds of miss use and abuse. Its said that you could drop it from a good height or run over it and it would still work. One of our My Guitar Lessons tutors told us that they have had one of these microphones since they bought their first ever pa system back in 1994 and it was second hand then and say it is still used in their band to this day. As you can see in the photo it has seen better days but its never let them down.
