Create something that’s amazing

All musicians at some stage have been in the position where they have put a lot of work into some new material recorded their live rehearsals and thought wow this all sounds great and you all agree to go and record it in a proper studio and the outcome you had visualized and worked so hard for has fallen flat on its face as some parts in the mix didn’t work together.

Conflicting parts usually happen when you have limited musical knowledge so its well worth doing some research into what chords work together and understand the harmonic context. Try to use all your band members effectively by keeping all parts different but at the same time complement each other so you have different layers and textures in the mix. In other words find a register for each instrument. With this method you will create a much bigger sound on your recordings and create something quite outstanding
