Get your tax return in now

Singing teachers must do their HMRC return straight away.

Posted Under: Business

We would suggest to all singing teachers that you to report your profits and losses to the HMRC before the end of January 2015 or you could face a massive fine. You may well be aware that My Singing Lessons offers a great range of support tools for doing your own accounting if you are a singing teacher with us. Along with that you could also attend a Tax Advice Workshop with HW Fisher & Co.

Join Andy Levett and Ajay Jassal from accountants HW Fisher & Co for a presentation on tax issues followed by a Q&A tailor-made for freelance musicians.

The session will cover essential advice on:

– Setting yourself up in business

– Income

– Allowable expenses

– Capital items and capital allowances

– Record keeping

– Investigations and how to avoid them

– Employment status issues

– Tax penalties

When: Friday 9 January 2015

Time: 3pm – 5pm

Where: Conference Room, MU HQ, 60-62 Clapham Road, London SW9 0JJ
