New Singing Teacher Joins Us From Kent
We are delighted to announce that we have a new qualified singing tutor in Kent. Franco studied at the Singhai Conservatoire and obtained his B.A. degree. After that he won the Norman Gristwood scholarship to study the postgraduate course at Trinity College of Music London.
Franco is an accomplished opera oratorio and recital artist. His opera debut was the Count Almaviva in le nozze di Figaro. He has created the role of Casper in “Joe Carpenter and Son” in the world premiere Opera. He has won several Awards both in China and UK. He worked with Wexford Festival Opera, Dublin Grand Opera, Birmingham Opera Co, Chelsea Opera Group, English Touring Opera, English Festival Opera, Almeida Opera, Clonter Opera Farm, Garsington Opera, New Sussex Opera and Ahmadi Music Group (Kuwait), Apollo Opera etc. While his many recital and oratorio performances have taken him to the Royal Opera House (Lunch time concert in Crash Room) Queen Elizabeth Hall, The Purcell Room, Sadler’s Wells Theatre, St. James (Piccadilly), Southwark Cathedral, Brandown Hall (Swansea), Tyne Theatre (Newcastle) Royal Exchange Theatre (Manchester) Blackheath Concert Hall (London) etc.
Franco’s opera performances have included Title role Rigoletto, Tilte role of Don Pasquale, Zurga in Pearl Fishers ,Count Almaviva in Le Nozze di Figaro, Ebn-Hakai in Tchaikovsky’s Iolanta, Marcello & Schaunard in La Boheme ,Germont in La Traviata, Yamadori in Madama Butterfly, Polyphemus in Acis and Galatea, Orest in EleKtra ,Ostasio and Captain in Francesca da Rimini , Oldrich Rokycansky and Town Crier in The Brandenburger in Bohemia, Pass-by A in Wolf Club Village, Ping in Turandot, Escamillo & Zuniga in Carmen, The title role of Gianni Schicchi etc. Under the direction of such notable conductors and producers Vladimir Jurowski, Graham Vick, Simon Joly, Nicholas Braithwaite, Klause Donath, Myer Fredmen and the Vilem Tausky.
His concert repertoire is equally diverse, including Missa Solemnis (Beethoven), 9th symphony (Beethoven), Brahms Requiem, Faure Requiem, Handel Messiah and Lieder eines Fahrenden Gesellen (Mahler) Verdi Requiem.
Projects for 2016 include the title role of Rigoletto (concert performence in San Dona di Piave Italy )the title role of Don Pasquale ( Apollo Opera ), covering the role of Macbeth ( Kentish Opera ), Pluto in Hippolyte et Aricie ( Philharmonia Britannica ), Leporello in Don Giovanni ( Heritage Opera ).
