About the Role

Surrey Arts, part of Surrey County Council and lead partner of the Surrey Music Hub, is a county-wide arts delivery and development service, providing weekly music teaching to pupils both in and out of schools.

Surrey Arts co-ordinates the work of a large team of teaching staff who are responsible for delivering teaching and learning opportunities six days a week in term time, along with additional activities/concerts etc. in the evenings and at weekends.

We are seeking to appoint a number of motivated and committed teachers of all instrumental genres, including strings, woodwind, brass and vocal, to join their thriving team of music tutors. You will be working in schools across the county teaching to individuals, small and large groups. You may also be involved in projects helping to develop new and exciting ways to promote music lessons in Surrey.

You will be flexible and willing to commit to working for up to 36 weeks of the year, during and after school hours is essential and potentially weekends too. A current licence with access to a car  is vital.  In-service training and support is provided by Surrey Arts.
