Want to Build Your Online Profile

Thursday, February 9th, 2017

ICMP recently hosted a fascinating and exclusive interactive panel discussion focused on ‘How to Build Your Online Profile’ at Tileyard Studios. The event, organised by ICMP’s industry liaison and careers department, featured guest panellists Simon Bush (UK Head of Social, Weller Media Agency) and Alice Beal (Label Manager, Insanity Records/Sony Music) in discussion with Dave Roberts (Industry Liaison Executive, ICMP).

Simon Bush has extensive experience developing and implementing creative social media strategies for clients including artists from Syco, Columbia, RCA, Island and Virgin and acts such as 5 Seconds of Summer, Olly Murs and Clean Bandit. Alice Beal has previously worked with artists including Lady Gaga, James Bay and Take That as Marketing Manager at Virgin EMI and within her current role at Insanity had a recent number 1 album for Craig David.

ICMP’s exclusive partnership with Tileyard provides students with unique opportunities to study in and engage with an immersive industry environment, building their networks amongst some of the music industry’s biggest names. It connects the real world of the music industry directly to our educational provision, providing a range of bespoke opportunities for the development of your careers.

This session was of course very well attended by ICMP students and alumni who relished the unique opportunity to ask their questions directly to industry professionals and receive advice across a range of subjects, including how to use social media effectively and building a digital marketing strategy.

ICMP Careers & Employability Manager Oliver Tatler said: “ICMP is committed to providing our students and alumni with the best opportunities to engage directly with the music industry, which enables them to get advice from experienced and well-connected professionals to help them build sustainable and successful careers*. Our exclusive and innovative partnership with Tileyard Studios provides a perfect opportunity for these incredibly valuable events to take place”.
