Learn to Play Day, the flagship event of the not for profit Music For All charity, takes place on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th March 2016 and offers more that 12,000 FREE taster music lessons at more than 120 music venues, schools and shops across the UK. There will be somewhere near you that can help find your musical voice, teach you a different way to communicate and show you a way to share the pleasure of music with other people. Emeli Sandé, the unofficial voice of the 2012 London Olympics, is about to release her second album, the follow up to the critically acclaimed Our Version of Events. The British star that uses the piano as her song writing tool has had some of the greatest names in pop sing her exciting compositions.
The multi Grammy Award winning Chick Corea participated in the birth of electric jazz as a member of the Miles Davis band. Many of his compositions are now considered jazz standards. He is currently touring the states and has a new album Super-Magic, a collection of the best of the best from material that spans years and more than fifty-five shows.
Jamie Cullum is the UK’s biggest selling jazz artist of all time. He can be seen playing live later this year at the Cornbury and Larmer Tree festivals in the UK and his new album Interlude, a collection of twelve traditional jazz tracks is available now. As Jamie says in his video ‘playing a musical instrument – its an amazing thing to have in your life’.
