Boss RC-505 Loop Station Vocal Effect

Monday, November 30th, 2015

Boss’s RC-505 Loop Station is a user-friendly looper for DJs, vocalists, beatboxers and other artists, that serves just as well in the studio as it does on stage. The Loop Station allows you to record up to 5 stereo tracks, using its microphone input (XLR, with phantom power), its 6.3mm instrument input (for keyboard or guitar, for instance), or its 3.5mm aux input. Additionally, elaborate loop options and a selection of effects are at your disposal to get really creative.

Control and effects
Operating the RC-505 is easy: large backlit buttons give you instant access to playback, recording, loop and tempo synchronisation functions, and there are also six assignable buttons for effects. As the RC505 has been developed with vocalists and DJs in mind, it features vocal effects like Robot and Vocoder, as well as Vinyl Flick and Beat Repeat. As a bonus, compression and reverb can be applied to the master output.

Connectors and rhythms
In order to connect the Loop Station to your computer or other MIDI gear, Boss has equipped it with MIDI and USB connectors. The RC505 can even serve as a full-fledged external sound card. 85 built-in rhythms ensure that your melodic and rhythmic ventures stay nicely in sync. Play them independently via the headphone output as a discrete click track, and you’re always sure to keep the proper pace.
