Sadly we lost talented people from the music world recently many of whom died before their time. We have compiled a short list from the many that passed away. Here are a few; Chris Squire, 67, English bass guitarist and backing vocalist (Yes), acute erythroid leukemia.

Thé Lau, 62, Dutch singer and guitarist (The Scene), lung cancer.

Young Ready, 31, American rapper, shot.

Harold Battiste, 83, American jazz and R&B composer, arranger and musician (Sam Cooke, Sonny & Cher, Dr. John).

Mighty Sam McClain, 72, American soul blues singer, stroke.

Big Time Sarah, 62, American blues singer.

Buddy Boudreaux, 97, American jazz saxophonist and band leader.

MC Supreme, 47, American rapper, traffic collision.

Ernest Tomlinson, 90, British composer.

Randy Howard, 65, American country singer, shot.

James Last, 86, German composer and big band leader.

Aaron Dilks, 49, American tour manager (Anthrax, Journey, Cee Lo Green).

Dennis Ferrante, 65, American recording engineer (John Lennon, Kiss, Elvis Presley), heart failure.

Nick Marsh, 53, British singer and musician (Flesh for Lulu), cancer.

Larry Ferguson, 67, Bahamian keyboard player (Hot Chocolate), traffic collision.

Anthony Riley, 28, American singer (The Voice), suicide by hanging.
