Singer and Rapper Afroman knocks out fan

Shocking video of singer punching female fan

Thursday, February 19th, 2015

Be warned this video is very violent and distressing. It appears that the fan was dancing on stage with the singer and he turns around and punches her unprovoked full on in the face. This is deplorable and we at My Singing Lessons hope that the singer is dealt with, with the full force of the law. The video of the US rapper and musician Afroman showed him punching a female fan on stage during a concert in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Afroman – best known for his 2001 hit Because I Got High – was seen hitting the woman, who was dancing on stage behind him at the Kress Live venue. Biloxi Police said he was arrested for assault on Tuesday and later released on bail.

A spokesperson for the rapper said he would be issuing a formal apology. An earlier statement issued on his behalf said it was “a completely involuntary reflex reaction to people infringing on his stage space,”according to Billboard. “It was uncharacteristic behavior that was initiated by outside uncontrolled forces,” the statement added.

Afroman, real name Joseph Foreman, was nominated for a Grammy in 2002 for best rap solo performance for Because I Got High. A Biloxi Police Department statement said: “Mr Foreman was arrested for assault as a result of a citizen’s affidavit, booked in, and released after paying a $330 (£214) bond.” We at My Singing Lessons think that he should not have been released and hope that he is given a stiff sentence for his unprovoked and disgusting behavior.

This video is violent and should not be watched if you suffer from a nervous disposition.
