Paula Patton Files for Divorce from Singer Robin Thicke
Things continue to go from bad to worse for controversial singer Robin Thicke, who has just copped a handful of divorce papers from his estranged wife Paula Patton.
The actress filed for divorce in Los Angeles this week citing irreconcilable differences and seeking joint custody of the couple’s four-year-old son, Julian.
Their nine-year marriage had been on the rocks for most of the year, amid rumours that Thicke had cheated on Patton with multiple women.
The Blurred Lines singer also admitted to substance abuse issues during a court deposition in April, in which he said Patton left him for telling her what he’d been up to.
Sworn testimony in the singer and Pharrell Williams‘ ongoing lawsuit with the children of Marvin Gaye for allegedly ripping off Got to Give It Up reveals the crooner lied about his participation in the hit song’s creation.
He claims he spent much of the last year abusing drugs, stated The Hollywood Reporter.
Thicke’s efforts to win back his wife included dedicating his latest album Paula to her, which was critically panned and commercially a failure.
