Singer Stops Concert After Seeing Female Fan Being Molested
Staind singer Aaron Lewis launched into a swearing rant at a rock festival after he saw a female fan being touched inappropriately in the crowd.
The metal frontman, whose band are best known for their 2001 hit It’s Been Awhile, stopped mid-song to hit out at audience members he said were feeling up a crowd surfing girl.
He blasted fans in an expletive-laden tirade, saying: “Listen up you F**king a**holes. That f**king girl over right there is like 15 f**king years old and you pieces of s**t are molesting her while she’s on the f**king crowd.
He pointed out a number of people in the crowd who he thought were responsible for the assault.
“Your f***ing mothers should be ashamed of themselves, you pieces of s***,” he continued. “You should all be f***ing beaten down by everyone around you for being fucking pieces of s***.”
Finally, he threatened to point the perpetrators out to other members of the crowd if they did it again, and “have everyone around you beat your f***ing a**.”
Staind were performing at Rockfest in Kansas City on Saturday. Lewis’ outburst came during a performance of their song Something To Remind You.
After the crowd cheered in approval at his rant, Lewis signalled to guitarist Mike Mushok to continue.
The remainder of their performance passed without incident.
