Blur Singer Damon Albarn Sings Parklife in East London Pub
If you were drinking in The Red Lion pub in Leytonstone on Wednesday night we are very VERY jealous of you.
Drinkers in the east London boozer were treated to an off-the-cuff rendition of classic Britpop hit Parklife by none other than Blur singer Damon Albarn himself.
Two videos have been posted on YouTube of the Blur frontman leading the pub in a special St George’s Day rendition of the 90s anthem.
Albarn was in the pub after reportedly playing a gig nearby when he asked a local band who were performing if he could join them on stage and sing Parklife.
Unsurprisingly the band and the pub’s patrons were more than happy to let the 46-year-old do his thing.
Albarn is currently touring as a solo artist and is due to perform next Wednesday at the Rivoli Ballroom in south London.
Anyone who lives in the area, we would definitely try and be in the pub after the gig!
